David Wayne Hanks, Jr.

David Wayne Hanks Jr, age 35, of Pine Point, MN, member of the Bear Clan, began his journey to the Spirit World from Pine Point, MN on June 25, 2023.

He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 21, 1988, the son of David Wayne Hanks Sr., and Stacey Elaine Croud. David loved to eat good food and have some fun with family and friends. He dearly loved spending time with his family and hanging out with friends playing video games. David had a great sense of humor and joking around with a person was his full-time job. He especially loved making people laugh and have fun. David was a very proactive father, brother, and son.

A wake for David Wayne Hanks Jr. will begin on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 1 PM at the Pine Point Community Center in Ponsford, MN followed by a traditional service on Monday, July 3, at 11:00 AM. The Spiritual Advisor will be Mike Dahl. The burial will be in the family burial grounds in White Earth. Pallbearers are Richard Hanks, Bryan Sam Jr., Eddie Richardson, Joshua Croud, Andrew Smith, William Annette, and Paul Smith Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are his family and friends. David was preceded in death by his brother Devan “Pede”, his uncle Vince Croud, his grandmother Bernice Croud, brother and sisters Danielle, Kelsey, and Charlotte, paternal grandparents, Gloria Hanks, Dennis Jackson, and James Grandboise, and his uncle James Hanks.

He leaves behind his mother Stacey Croud, his father David Wayne Hanks Sr., his son Brody Helliksen-Hanks, his daughter Tianna May Jones, brothers Eddie Richardson, Eric Richardson-Hanks, brothers and sisters, Keith, Landen, Carissa, Shona, Emil and Gloria.
