Debra Lynn Jones

Debra Lynn Jones, age 59, of Cass Lake, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, from the Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. She was born July 24, 1962, in Cass Lake, MN the daughter of Bernice (Morris) and Robert Hurd, Sr.

Debra’s joy in life was spending time with her grand babies that she loved so very much.  She loved watching Lifetime, going to the casino, enjoying Pow Wows and camping at them.  Debra was very independent but had a busy social life as well.  She was one funny lady!  She was happy and overcame a lot in her lifetime.

Those welcoming Debra to the spirit world are her parents, Bernice and Robert Hurd, Sr.; brothers, Gerald Hurd, Sam Morris and Daryl Ryan, sisters; Pat Morgan, Rhonda and Kathy Hurd.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Debra are her daughters, Vanessa (David) Ross, Maggie Whitefeather and Allison Rogers; brothers, Terry Morris and Robert Hurd, Jr.; sister, Cindy Hurd; many grandchildren, Memree Jones, Angeline Woundedfoot, Keisha Hurd, Kierstynn Whitefeather and 3 great grandchildren.

A wake for Debra will begin Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until Monday, December 20, 2021, service at 11:00 a.m. all to be held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN. Spiritual advisor will be Melvin Goodman. Helping to lay Deb to rest will be David Ross, Neil Cutbank, Filiberto Ramirez, Thayne Thompson, David Ross, Jr., Dayton French, William Jones, and Emmitt Jones. Interment will be in the Prince of Peach Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN.
