Delphine Adelia (Green) Gibbs

Delphine Adelia (Green) Gibbs, age 59, of Redby, Minnesota journeyed home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 19th, 2019 from the Red Lake IHS Hospital in Red Lake, MN.  She was born the daughter of Jane and Wallace Green, Sr. on December 4th, 1959 in Red Lake, MN.

Delphine was a child of God.  She was a member of the PTL Rock Church in Redby and loved traveling to different states with her church to sing for the Lord.  Delphine studied her bible often.  She enjoyed making a home for her and Richard where she loved to cook big meals for her family.  Delphine loved spending time making memories with her grandchildren and liked sitting around with her friends and family joking and laughing.  She also enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales every chance she could.  Delphine was loved by many and will be missed dearly. 

Family that she is reunited with are her parents, Jane and Wallace Green, Sr.; sister, Alma Green; brothers, Wallace Jr., Marvin and Paul Green; grandson, Daryl Bellanger; brother in law, Clarence Brown and her grandparents.

She leaves behind her husband, Richard Gibbs of Redby; daughter, Marlena (Enrique Sr.) Gonzales of St. Paul; sons, Oliver Jr., Owen (Sharill) and Brandon Johnson all of Redby; sisters, Mary “Mully” Brown and Irene (Laverne LaDuke) Green both of Redby; special grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Elena Gonzales and Kameron May, 15 other grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and her friends.

Wake services for Delphine will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, August 26th all being held at the Redby Community Center in Redby, MN.  Pastors Josephine Smith and Dave Gens will officiate.  Her pallbearers are Shane May, Jeff May, Ron Day III, Virgil Brown, Sr., Kameron May and Aydan May.  Alternate pallbearers will be Oliver Johnson, Jr., Owen Johnson and Brandon Johnson.  Her honorary pallbearers are Mully Brown, Nikki Brown, Emily Cloud, Bev Libby, Paul Spolar, Shirrone Spolar, Irene Green, Trisha May, Star May, Laurene May, Kelly King, Megan Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Oliver Johnson III, Gene Martinez, Sharena Morrison, Larry Stolz, Lois Stolz, Larry Beere, Paula Beere, Kathy Larson, Dennis Larson and Pastors Josephine Smith, Dave Gens and Kenneth Patten.  Interment will be in the St. Antipas Episcopal Cemetery at Redby, MN.
