Dianna Mae (Goggleye) Kingbird

BeZhigOoWaShiik, Dianna Mae (Goggleye) Kingbird, 74, of Deer River, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, October 21st, 2021, from the Miller-Dwan Hospital in Duluth, MN with her family by her side.  Dianna was born in Inger, MN on February 15th, 1947, to Elizabeth (Bowstring) and Theodore Goggleye.

Dianna loved playing with her grandchildren and being there for everyone.  She loved listening, was always kind, selfless and understanding; she was the most caring person in the world.  Dianna enjoyed going to the casino and powwow dancing but her favorite things to do were playing Yahtzee and watching Jason Statham movies.  She was the best mother and grandmother one could ask for.

Family that welcomes Dianna to the spirit world are her daughter; Carrie Ann Kingbird, parents; Elizabeth and Theodore, brothers; Darrius and Irvin Goggleye and her great grandson; Arthur Wayne Kingbird.

Those left behind to carry on her legacy are her husband, Wayne Kingbird, Sr. of Deer River, son; Wayne (Milissa) Kingbird, Jr. of Mille Lacs, daughters; Lisa (Aaron) Kingbird of Squaw Lake, Anajanette (Jay) Saros of Deer River, Angela Rushman of Deer River and GeorginaTimbal of Squaw Lake, sister; Irene Denasha of Squaw Lake, brothers; Warren (Debbie) Goggleye of Marble and Harold (Marilyn) Goggleye of Deer River, 36 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Wake services for Dianna will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd and continue until her 10:00 a.m. Midewid services on Monday, October 25th all to be held at Dianna’s Residence, 54120 Bowstring River Road, Deer River, MN.  Vince Merrill will be her Spiritual Advisor.  Pallbearers for Dianna will be all her grandsons, Valarian Kingbird, Zhacharya Kingbird, Randall Kingbird, Vincent Kingbird, Sr., Vaundell Kingbird, Dominic Kingbird, Devin Kingbird, Kenneth Lyons III, Irving Kingbird, Kenneth Lyons IV, Craig Cloud, Sr., Dylan White, Adrian White, Randall Tucker, Garrett Whiteman, Rocky Goggleye, Theodore Goggleye, Derrek Goggleye, Aaron Robinson, Jeremy Goggleye, Joel Goggleye, Robert Weaver, Leo Denasha, John Helms, Luca Kingbird, Trevor Kingbird, Aiden Kingbird and Jerome Roy.  Her honorary pallbearers are all her granddaughters, Cassandra L., Keriann K., Tiffany K., Amber K., Tamara W., Tessla R., Eliza K., Kyera K., Kaleena K., Kelise K., Kaliyah K., Anajanette K., Dianna K., Braylynn K., Chantell L., Deanna L., Jennifer T., Mystic M., and Lori M.  Dianna will be laid to rest in the Inger Cemetery at Inger, MN next to her father on Monday following her services.
