Donald Peter Bohn “MaKoons” meaning (Little Bear) began his spirit journey on May 13, 2026, from his home in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was born to Peter and Mary (Hardy) Bohn on April 28, 1956, in Red Lake, Minnesota.
Don really loved to watch all sports, but especially the Vikings and the Wolves, but it didn’t really matter what sport as long as it was sports.
When not watching sports, he enjoyed listening to country music and having a cold beer. He was very attentive to his yard making sure it was always mowed. He enjoyed getting together with family for holidays and cook outs.
Those greeting Donald in the spirit world are his parents Peter and Mary Bohn, grandparents; Oscar and Grace Bohn. Gilbert and Mary Hardy, brothers; Randy, Dale, nephews Aaron and Michael Bohn niece; Bobbie Jo Bohn.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his brothers Daryl (Amber) Bohn and Brian (Pam) Bohn, nieces; Brittney Strand, April Wilsey, and Makayla Juenke, nephews Randy Jr., Bryan, Devin and Darrion Bohn, along with several great nieces and nephews, as well as many relatives and friends.
A one-day wake for Don will be Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah Minnesota. Dons’ spiritual advisor will be Michael Needham. Burial will be in the Maquambay Family Burial Grounds, Ponemah, MN. Don’s urn bearers will be Debbi, Barb, Karen, Chad, and Bobby Saunders, and Sherry Chrisianson. Honorary urn bearers are all who knew and loved Don
