Douglas "Doug" Fred Stine

Douglas “Doug” Stine, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Donna and Edward Stine. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Doug graduated from Minneapolis North High School and made a life’s work of rebuilding machines. He was known for his precision and high-quality workmanship.

Doug enjoyed fishing with his son, Jason, and friends. He participated in bowling leagues and occasionally even joined Janet on her road trips. Doug made time for his children and supported their interests. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Donna Stine.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Janet; son, Jason Stine; daughters, Leandra (Luke) Korbel, Stephanie, and Natalie Stine; brother, David (Nancy) Stine; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service for Doug will be Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with a 1-hour visitation prior to services, all to be held at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Walker, MN. Doug’s final resting place will be at home with his wife.
