Ernest Robert Ryan

Ernest Robert Ryan of the Eagle Clan and Cass Lake, MN started his journey Friday, January 12, 2024.  He was born on June 3, 1943, to Willam and Lucy (White) Ryan in Bena, (Ryans Village) MN.  He attended school in Bena and Cass Lake, MN.

Ernest Joined the U.S. Army in 1961.  After the Army, he came back and worked as a logger for 10 years.  He went to work after logging as a maintenance person for the Facility Center for 20 years before becoming the maintenance supervisor for Leech Lake Gaming for 24 years.

Ernest loved to hunt and gamble in his younger years, as well as travel.  He enjoyed watching his Church services on T.V out of Baton Rouge, LA.  He also enjoyed family time and spending time with his pets.

Those greeting Ernest in the spirit world are his parents, William and Lucy Ryan; brother, Cecil Ryan; and sister, Elizabeth Drumbeater.

Family Ernest leaves behind are his wife, Sandra Ryan; sons, Michael (Fran) Frazer and Mark Watson; daughters, Barbara (David) Kruger and Susan Sayers; brother, James Ryan; special nieces, Christine Cummings, Christie Conn, and Connie Headbird; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Ernest will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the White Earth Family Office (The Old Legion) in Cass Lake, MN.
