Evan Hunter Gale, “Gaagii aasige inini” meaning “Everlasting Light of Man,” age 32, unexpectedly journeyed to the spirit world on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from his home in Bemidji, MN. Evan was born on May 31, 1991, in Bemidji, the son of Cynthia M. Gale.
Evan was a big, loving, gentle guy, with a great, maniacal laugh! He loved the outdoors, animals, and celebrating holidays and birthdays with family. Evan was very creative, enjoying making costumes for cos-play. He liked animae, and even learned Japanese. He loved his num chucks, PS5 and playing video games. He enjoyed going to WWE Wrestling Matches. Evan loved cooking and experimenting new foods on his family, even making Everclear Brats once. He was very brave, handled his illnesses very well. Evan was most comfortable with his mom around. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
Those greeting Evan in the spirit world are his grandfather, Bert Gale, Jr.; grandmother, Marlene Stately; and special friend/father figure, Duane.
Those Evan leaves behind to forever cherish his loving memory are his mom, Cynthia; brothers, Dean (Tiffany) Gale and Jon-Erik Gale; sisters, Tyler Luther, Alexandra (Joe) Trego, Aubrey (Nathan) Terebenet; nieces, Lisa, Chloe, Lorraina, Lillian; nephews, Saint and Ethan; great-niece, Adrienne; close aunts, Lorna Urrutia and Katherine Gale; and close uncle, Douglas Stately.
An overnight wake for Evan will begin Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. and continue until his Sunday, May 19, 2024, 1:00 p.m. service, all to be held at Battle Point Community Center. Those helping to lay Evan to rest are Dean Gale, Jon-Erik Gale, Joe Trego, Nathan Black, Byron Whitebird, David Chase, Saint Luther, and Ethan Gale. Honorary pallbearers are Evan’s sisters, Tyler Luther, Allie Trego, Aubrey Terebenet and Tiffany Gale along with his nieces and nephews.
