Filmore Francis LaDeaux

Filmore Francis LaDeaux, age 50, of Grand Rapids, MN, began his spiritual journey on Wednesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Mary’s hospital in Duluth, MN.  He was born on April 11, 1975 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Harriet (Molash) and Arnold Mykkanen.

Filmore was a loyal friend, a father and brother.  He was known to be a little stubborn but he always had a joking attitude.  Filmore was a strong family leader and was looked up to.  He loved camping with his family, watching sports, and joking with his nieces and nephews on Facebook.  Filmore had a green thumb and loved gardening and all of his plants.  He was always looking for a new plant to add to his collection.  

Filmore was welcomed in death by his mother Harriet, sister Rae along with aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his children; Angelina, Tansy, Steven, Dustin and Pickles, brothers; William and Joel, sisters; Victoria and Star, his dad; Arnold, girlfriend; Alicia, nephews; Marleau and Nicholas, nieces; Valarie, Kleo, Geena, Jayden, Shyanne, Mercades and Zoey.

A wake for Filmore will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025 and will continue until the 12:00 p.m. service on Saturday, November 8, 2025 all held at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum.  Rev. Bill Butcher will officiate.  Pallbearers for Filmore will be Joel Molash, John Selfisberg, DJ Wiess, Tim Bellile, Randy Roberts, and Will LaDeaux.
