Frances "Fran" Gloria (Ramirez) Dhaene

Frances “Fran” Gloria Dhaene, age 80, passed away at May Creek Memory Care on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Walker, MN. She was born on October 4, 1943, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Mary (Lopez) and Sabino Ramirez.

Fran was an excellent cook and enjoyed crocheting. She had a love for fishing, they had a family cabin in Benedict for over 30 years, where friends and family gathered and camped. She loved decorating for Christmas and playing Chinese checkers. Fran liked watching her shows, “Law & Order”, “The Price is Right”, and “Coach”.

Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Sabino Ramirez.

Fran is survived by her sons, Steve Hoemke and Dan Hoemke; daughters, Lisa Hoemke and Jeannine Winter; brothers, Anthony “Tony” (Irene) Ramirez and Rudolph (Rosie) Ramirez; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Fran will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior at 1:30 p.m., all to be held at Northern Peace Funeral Home in Walker, MN. Pastor Gary Flow will officiate. Fran’s urn bearer is Steve Hoemke. A luncheon will follow services at Country Inn Walker, 442 Walker Bay Blvd, Walker, MN, 56484.
