Franklin “Frank” Lee Robinson, age 65, of the Bear “Makwa” Clan and Bemidji, MN journeyed to the spirit world on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Frank was born in Cass Lake, MN, on April 29th, 1958, the son of Dollian (Gale) and Franklin Robinson.
Frank loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandson. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, swimming, traveling, and ricing in his younger healthier years. He liked doing crossword puzzles and watching television, especially game shows. Frank was a very kind, loving, and soft-spoken man, who recently enjoyed teasing the staff at the assisted living. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those welcoming Frank to the Spirit World are his loving wife, Susan Robinson; parents, Dollian (Gale) Kottmeyer and Franklin Robinson, grandparents, Lillian and Bert Gale, Sr., Virginia and Ray Robinson; brothers, Terry and Randy Robinson; and close cousin, Arlan Wakefield.
Those Frank leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his son, Frankie (Kailia) Robinson; daughters, Kayla Robinson and Stephanie Losh; grandson, Mateo Robinson-Nadeau; step-dad, Kirk Kottmeyer; aunties, Stella Mitchell and Lavina (Frank) Gale Marion; numerous family members and friends.
An overnight wake for Frank will begin on Thursday, July 27th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service on Friday, July 28th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., all to be held at the Battle Point Community Center in Federal Dam, MN. Frank’s Spiritual Advisor is “Naabek” Adrian Liberty. Those helping to lay Frank to rest are Keith Robinson, Michael Mitchell, Roger Hare, Jon Schneider, David Chase, and Devin Butcher. Honorary pallbearers are Alvin White, Kirk Kottmeyer, Frank Marion, Brian Mitchell, Rupert Olson, all of Frank’s family and friends. Interment will be in the Battle Point Burial Grounds in Federal Dam, MN.
