Gary Lee Arndt

Gary Lee Arndt died on February 26th, 2025 at 3:30 am after many years suffering from dementia in St. Cloud, MN. Gary was born in Owatonna, MN on January 8th, 1944 to Stanley and Doris Arndt. He was married to Mary Igers (deceased December 8th, 2021) for 54 years and had four children, Amy Lindell, Jeffery Arndt (deceased), Joe Arndt, and Ben Arndt. He lived a full life. He was a successful businessman for many years and enjoyed the wilderness of Minnesota. Some of his favorite hobbies included golfing, fishing, and pheasant hunting. 

Gary is survived by his brother, Ron Arndt; his children, Amy (Scott), Joe (Carolyn), and Ben; grandchildren, Mary (Robert) Geisenhof, Anna (Caleb) Forberg, and Charlie Lindell; Logan Arndt and Dominic Arndt; Alex Arndt and Aliyah Arndt; as well as three great grandchildren, Archie and Alma Geisenhof, and Leo Forberg. Gary was surrounded by family near the end listening to all the wonderful memories centered around him that will live on in our hearts. Gary had a sense of humor, was always moving the woodpile, loved watching professional golf, cared deeply for his grandchildren, and was a beautiful caretaker to his wife. Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a one-hour visitation prior to the service, all to be held at Northern Peace funeral Home of Walker, MN.
