Gary Allen Berding

Gary Allen Berding, age 71, of Walker, MN passed from this life on February 24th, 2023 peacefully at his home.  He was born the son of Alvin and Irene (Grekoff) Berding on April 2, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa.

Gary was a successful and accomplished pilot. He got his pilot’s license at 14, before he even could drive.  After graduating high school Gary got his AMP license to work on airframes and engines.  He then got his helicopter license and spent about 7 years flying Air Ambulance to the Mayo Clinic out of Rochester, MN.  Gary spent many years flying VIPS and politicians around the country.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed all aspects of being out in nature.  He was also an avid motor sports racer.  He loved to compete in motorcycle races.  When he wasn’t going fast in the sky or on his bike, he enjoyed scuba diving.  Somewhere in his spare time he became a 3rd degree Mason.

One thing that gave Gary great joy was riding his motorcycle endlessly in the summer months.

Family that Gary joins again are his parents, Alvin and Irene Berding; and sister, Karen Berding.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his son, David Berding; brothers, Jerry Berding (Gary’s twin brother), Ken Berding, and Ronnie Berding.
