Gordon "Dee-Dee" Lee Dunn, Sr.

Gordon “Dee-Dee” Lee Dunn, Sr., “Adikdokadikawag” of the Bear Clan and Bena, MN, age 45, unexpectedly journeyed to the spirit world on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, from Bena. He was born on April 30th, 1978, in Cass Lake, the son of Beatrice Dunn and Gordon Wayne Harrison.

Dee-Dee enjoyed being outside in nature, walking in the woods, ricing, bough picking, and riding around. He liked tattooing, wood burning, beading, drawing, listening to music, cutting hair, going to the casino, and drinking. Dee-Dee had a great sense of humor and was always joking. He loved his kids and grandkids and promised them the world! Dee-Dee was the coolest-always coming through for his kids and friends. He always appreciated family gatherings and get-togethers. Dee-Dee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Greeting Dee-Dee in the spirit world are his son, Jordan Smith-Dunn, Sr.; grandparents, Richard Dunn, Cornelia Beaudreau, and Henry Harrison; aunties, Cheryl Dunn and Debbie Fairbanks; niece, Adeline Bowstring; grandson, Jordan Smith-Dunn, Jr.; special friend, Toni Smith; and best friend, Duane Jenkins.

Those Dee-Dee leaves behind to forever cherish his loving memory are his parents, Bea Dunn and Gordon Wayne Harrison; sons, Isaiah, Exander, Sapties, and Gordon Lee Dunn, Jr.; daughters, Larissa (Doug), Candace, Isabel, Edina (Joe), and Elika Dunn; brothers, Brad and Patrick Dunn; sisters, Nicole Dunn, Samantha Bowstring, and Sloane (Jess) Headbird; grandchildren, Tavian Barney, Chase “CJ” Keezer, Kaizen Burkholder, Leilani Keezer and Aricin Butcher on the way; grandma, Veda Harrison; mothers of his children, Jackie Sherman, Lana Bellanger, and Rokelle Cloud; numerous other family members and friends.

An overnight wake for Dee-Dee will begin on Sunday, March 17th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service on Monday, March 18th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., all to be held at the Prescott Center in Cass Lake. Dee-Dee’s Spiritual Advisor is Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Dee-Dee to rest are Shane Dunn, Sheldon Brown, Mike Harrison, Kyle Dunn, Derek Fairbanks, Ben White, Dennis Harrison, and Kenny Harrison with alternate Tuffy Fisher. Honorary pallbearers are all Dee-Dee’s family and special friends. Interment will be in the Morgan Cemetery in Oak Point/Cass Lake, MN.
