Hilda Beaulieu Obituary

Hilda Chase Beaulieu, age 85, of Bena, Minnesota lost her battle with cancer and began her journey to the Spirit World at 4:30 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  Hilda was born in Sugar Point, MN. on June 5, 1934 the daughter of Walter and Tillie (Whitecloud) Chase Sr.

Hilda loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, friends and nieces and nephews.  Hilda and her husband were avid fishermen before Truman traveled onto the Happy Hunting Ground in October 1997.  She also loved spending time hunting, swimming, reading, traveling and going to the casino.  Hilda loved to play backgammon online and never missed her favorite TV game show Wheel of Fortune.  She was a very private person but also loved to spend time with family and friends dancing, listening to Elvis, telling stories and she lived and loved life to the fullest.

Hilda was a hard-working woman with very high strong work ethics and worked 25 years for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, before that she worked at the University of Minnesota until reaching retirement age and moved home to Sugar Point.  Hilda also worked for a trucking company in Roseville, MN. and the Duluth Bank of Commerce.
