James "Jim" Arthur Stewart

James (Jim) Arthur Stewart, born on August 14, 1940, in Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on June 2024 at 83. Jim spent much of his life in Longville, MN

Jim was Sylvia's beloved husband and partner for more than 55 years. He is also the Father of Kim Zimmer, Sheldon Loftman (Theresa), James, and Greg Stewart. He is a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to Anne, Justin, Nick, Rayne, Ginny, Brandon, Bryan, Charlee, Ezra, Hanna, Chase, Jaxon, Isaac, Mia, Ross, Camryn, and Laney. He is also survived by a Niece and cousins.

He was predeceased in death by his parents, sisters, brother, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and granddaughter.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He was also an active member of the “unofficial” Longville Coffee Club. His passion for helping others, collecting knick-knacks, fishing, and lake life was evident to all who knew him. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, Longville, MN, with Pastor Trish Jorgenson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date in the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
