Jamie Melinda Kimmen, born September 11, 1957, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by love.
Jamie was the daughter of James and Lenora Lockwood.
A Minnesota Vikings fan to her core, Jamie cheered with heart (and sometimes heartbreak) every season. Her loyalty was fierce — to her team, and in her own way, to those she loved.
While our relationship with Jamie was complex, it was grounded in love, history, and a shared journey. We remember her not just for who she was, but for the lasting imprint she leaves on the lives she touched. Her strength, her presence, and the moments we shared will not be forgotten.
She shared a close and meaningful bond with her special friend Frank, and was warmly embraced by his family. Their connection brought her comfort, companionship, and joy in her later years
Jamie is survived by her two children, Tony (Jen) Kimmen and Missy Kimmen; her grandchildren, Haley Jo, Madison, Hannah, Ella, Andy, and Colie; and her great-grandchildren, Hattie and Evelyn — with another great-grandson on the way, whom she was eagerly anticipating.
She is also survived by her special friend Frank; her stepmother, Mary Lou Lockwood; her siblings Jean, JoLayne, Jodie, and Jeff; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Kimmen — a loss she never fully recovered from — as well as by her parents, James and Lenora Lockwood; her brother, Jim; and her sister, Judy
Jamie's care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.northernpeace.com
