Jason "Barney" Duane Robinson

Jason “Barney” Duane Robinson, age 50, of the LLBO Wolf Clan and Cass Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, November 4th, 2021, from his home in Cass Lake, MN. Barney was born March 3, 1971, in Deer River, MN the son of Debra Robinson and Dennis Garbow, Sr.

Barney graduated from the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School in 1990. He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor. He loved fishing, hunting, and generally being outside.

Those Barney is reunited with in the spirit world are his parents, Debbie Robinson and Dennis Garbow, Sr.; grandparents, George and Margaret Wilson; infant brother, Brandon Robinson; and infant sister, Kimberly Robinson.

Those left behind to cherish Barney’s memories are his daughters, Kimberly Ann Robinson and Rose (Jon) Robinson; stepchildren, Billie Jean Whipper and Anthony Smith; significant other, Stacey Smith; brothers, Jeffrey (Peggy) Wilson, Sr., Eugene Howard, Dale Howard, Vernon Howard, Justin Howard, Aaron Howard, Lloyd Howard, Jr.; sister, Pamela (John) Thompson, Edith Wilson, Margaret Robinson, grandchildren, Jon Schneider III, Elijah Lee Robinson, and Harmony Rose Robinson.

An overnight wake for Barney will begin Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at the Ball Club Community Center in Ball Club, MN and continue until his traditional service on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with spiritual advisor Allen Hardy. Helping to lay Barney to rest will be Todd Wilson, Curtis Jackson, Arnold “Barney” Kingbird, Jon Schneider, Jon Drouillard, Dan Brown, Jeff Wilson, Jr., and Jamie Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Smith, Rose Robinson, Kimberly Robinson, Billie Jean Whipper, Anthony Smith, Harmony Rose Robinson, Elijah Lee Robinson, and Jon Schneider III. Fire keeper is Anthony Smith. Interment will follow Wednesday’s service in the Olivet Cemetery in Deer River, MN.

Barney’s family request that everyone be “Covid Conscious” and that masks be worn.
