Jennie Jeanne (Skippingday) Jackson

Jennie Jeanne Jackson, of Park Rapids, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 82.  She was born on Monday, September 13th, 1943, in White Earth, Minnesota to Cecelia (Fineday) and Benjamin Skippingday, Sr.

Jennie went to Detroit Lakes Vocational School after finishing her chef’s training and then continued her education in Pipestone, Minnesota for bakery/deli in 1984 and completed her training in 1988.  She moved back to northern Minnesota and resided in Park Rapids.  Jennie was a foster parent to many and raised four of her grandchildren, Willis and Dillon Jackson and Ava and Robbi Tellinghuisen.  She loved all of her grandchildren immensely especially her only great great granddaughter Amiliani Flores and her great grandson Willis Jr.

Family that Jennie has reunited with are her sons; the Jackson twins, Michael L., William G. and Billy Jackson, parents; Cecelia and Benjamin, Sr., sister; Oliva Pino, brothers; Lester and Benajmin Skippingday, Jr., granddaughter; Ashley Tellinghuisen, and three great grandkids.

Those left behind to forever cherish her memory are her daughters; Connie Jackson of Moorhead, LuWanda Jackson of Minneapolis, Valerie Jackson of Brooklyn Park, Terri (Brian) Wichern of Waubun, and Shania Jackson of St. Paul, sister; Cecelia Skippingday of Minneapolis, brother; Wilmer Skippingday of Minneapolis, 12 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and her special nieces and nephew from California, Gina, Michelle, and Fabien.

An overnight wake for Jennie will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1st and continue until her 1:00 p.m. traditional service on Tuesday, June 2nd all being held at the Old Pine Point School in Pine Point, MN.  Allen Hardy will be her Spiritual Advisor.  Helping to lay her to rest are Roger Skippingday, Sr., Todd Skipintheday, Sr., Randy Skipintheday, Brian Wichern, Sr., Roger Skippingday, Jr., and Steve DeLong, Jr.  Her honorary pallbearers are Willis Jackson, Sr., Edward Miller III, Joshua Miller, Sr., Dillon Jackson, Robbie Flores, Ava Tellinghuisen, Ana Tellinghuisen, Jada Tellinghuisen, and Lawrence Jackson.  Interment will be in the St. Theodore’s Catholic Cemetery at Pine Point, MN immediately following her Tuesday service.
