Jeremy Martin Jones

Jeremy Martin Jones, “Ningozis” which means “My Son”, of the Martin Clan, age 50 of Cass Lake, MN began his spiritual journey on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Sanford hospital in Bemidji.  He was born on October 14, 1975, in Duluth, MN, the son of Michael Jones and Roxanne LaRose.

Jeremy loved spending time with his family, especially his children.  He enjoyed cooking, watching the Vikings and NBA basketball.  He was very outspoken when it came to his sports.  Jeremy liked going for rides and checking in on his family, friends and everyone he cared for.  He took the time to take care of his auntie Paula.  Jeremy was funny and he liked to tease a lot too, always picking on his nieces and nephews.  He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

The family that Jeremy joins again are his parents, Roxanne and Michael, grandma; Delores Clark, great grandma; Julia Goodwin-Jones, great nephew; Denzell Cloud, son; Makhoa Martin, brother, Michael LaRose; uncles; Franklin “Doc” LaRose, Timothy LaRose, Roy Lovelace and a nephew, Antoine LaRose.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his spouse; MaryJane Jones, children; Kayne Fairbanks, Darwin Cloud, Jeremy Kingbird Jones, Aiden Bobolink, Archie Jones, Tommy Bobolink, Julia Jones, Aiyanna Jones, Natalia Bobolink and a special big son, Jonah, father; Charles “Chuck” Bobolink, granddaughters; Anna and Ally, siblings; Archie (Tammy) LaRose, Michelle Davis LaRose, Tasha LaRose, Ruth (Josh, Sr.) LaRose, Frank (Melissa) LaRose, Tony LaRose, James LaRose, Reba (Christopher) Cross, Thomas Jones, Mike (Dynell) Jones and Mary Jones, aunties; Paula LaRose, Rosalie, Sheryl, Anita and Frances Lovelace, uncles; John LaRose and Larry, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Jeremy will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2026, and will continue until the 1:00 p.m. service on Sunday, April 5,2026, all held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake.  Ojibwe Hymn singers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night.  Spiritual advisor will be Mike Needham.  Pallbearers will be Robbie Budreau, Alden “Bro” Fairbanks, Charles “Chuck” Bobolink, Sr., Dennis Littlewolf, Rod Northbird, Jamison Bellenger, and Amos LaDuke.  Honorary pallbearers will be Frank LaRose, Kris Roybal, Carlos Sargent, all his siblings, and the LLDRM wild rice crew.  Interment will be held in the LaRose Family burial grounds in Cass Lake following the service.
