Jimmy Leroy Crandall

Jimmy Crandall, 62, of Cass Lake, MN who graced this earth on September 14, 1959, has journeyed on the spirit world on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at home.  Jim passed away of a “broken heart”…the love of his life Barbara Louise Staples journeyed to the spirit world on October 29th 2021.  Jim and Barb met in 1980.  They traveled a lot until Jim started back to work, he was a great custodian.  Jim and Barb loved the car shows, giving people rides on his speed boat and racing his Mach-1.  After settling down in their home in Cass Lake, Jim was always busy.  They had a small yard but now it’s huge!  Jim and Barb had 40 years of happy blissful safety meetings.

Jim joins his parents Paul Dean, Sr. and Esther Louise Crandall, one brother, Paul Dean Crandall, Jr., one sister, Barbara Ann Crandall, a sister in-law, Patricia Grado-Crandall, of course his dear soul mate, Barbara Staples and her son Jeremy.

He leaves behind his brother, Mark Eugene Crandall, nieces, Angie and Christine Crandall all of El Paso, TX, nephews, Marcus Crandall and Paul Dean Crandall III and more younger family.  Jim also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Mary (Johnny) Staples, step grandson, Marcus Staples and their fur baby Chihuahua Daisy.

Jim and Barb will be missed by the Staples, Swanholm, Adams, Norby, Cross, Fairbanks, Kingbird, Hodges and Crandall families.

A wake for Jim will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. funeral services on Friday, January 28th all being held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN.  Fathers Matthew Cobb and William Butcher will officiate.  Pallbearers for Jimmy will be Rob Adams Sr., Dave Swanholm, Marcus Staples, Sam Staples Jr., Justin Littlewolf, Fred Fairbanks, Thomas Adams, and James Littlewolf III.  Per Jimmy’s wishes, his cremains will be buried on the love of his life, Barbara Staples, grave at a later date.
