Judith "Judi" Louise (Bakker) Sawyer

Beloved daughter of Klaus and Louise Bakker, Judith “Judi” Sawyer passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 76

Judi is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Stephen “Buz;’ and son, David.

Loving mother to Elizabeth “Liz,” Rebecca “Becky” and Joseph “Joe,” Judi was never a stranger to hard work. Growing up on a farm and mother to three active children while holding a full-time job for Social Services, she deeply instilled an honest and diligent work ethic in her children. Judi enjoyed gardening, knitting, needlework, and NCIS or Law and Order marathons. She never turned away a stray animal we brought home and loved teaching us how to make all kinds of Christmas cookies.

A Memorial service for Judi will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service, all being held at Hope Lutheran Church Walker, Minnesota. Pastor Matthew McWaters will officiate.
