Keith St. Cyr Obituary

Keith Rene St. Cyr “Animikii Inini” meaning “Thunderbird Man”, of the Loon clan, age 60, started his journey on August 1, 2024, from Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN, surrounded by his family.  Keith was born February 9, 1964, to Wilbur and Valerie St. Cyr in Chicago, Illinois.

Keith lived with his grandma Jo C in Oakland, California until he was adopted by Earl and Josephine Morris.  He was raised by them in Cass Lake, MN.  He graduated high school in Bena, MN.

After graduating Keith loved to help his family and friends by providing them with childcare anytime they needed.  He never had children of his own, he thought of Chantelle Fairbanks and Yolanda “La La” Smith as his own.  He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews, he had nicknames for all of them.

Keith was a fantastic artist, he enjoyed playing drums and singing at Pow Wows. When he wasn’t doing that, he loved his Godzilla movies.  He Also enjoyed family get togethers and teasing people to make them laugh.

Those greeting Keith in the Spirit world are his parents, Wilbur and Valerie St. Cyr; adopted parents, Earl and Josephine Morris; brothers, William St Cyr, Martin Wind, and Eugene Morris.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Vincent (Shelly) Simons Morris.
