Kenneth Morrow Obituary

Kenneth Blaine Morrow, “Mukwaa Iniinii” meaning “Bear Man”, 63, of the Bear Clan started his journey to the spirit world from Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 18, 2024.  He was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota to Max and Gladys (Cloud) Morrow on January 14, 1961.

Ken lived in Grand Rapids until he moved with his mom, Max Jr. and Darrell to Colorado.  A couple of months later they moved to Minneapolis to live with Teddie and nephew Eric.

Gladys found a home for them in Little Earth where they lived, and later Ken would get his own apartment.  He remained in Minneapolis for the rest of his life.

Ken was a gentle easy-going man who liked to play Yahtzee, watch TV and always had a kitty.  He always rode his bike to get around.  Ken enjoyed going to Powwows and listening to the Powwow music, but he loved Sinead O’Connor’s song “Nothing compares to you”. Ken suffered seizures throughout his lifetime, he would try to work at Deli Express, but his episodes got the best of him, and he had to quit working. Though Ken and his daughter saw each other intermittently, he loved her deeply.

The family welcoming Ken to the spirit world are his parents Max and Gladys Morrow, Raymond Cloud, Gerald Morrow, Max Morrow, Jr., Darrell Morrow, Ruebin Morrow, and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.

Those left to cherish his memories are daughter; Erin Dow, sister; Theodora Redwing “Teddie” brother; Joe Cloud and the Morgans.

A one-day wake will be held at the David Morgan Center in Bena, MN. beginning on December 23, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and continuing until his traditional service on December 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.  Melvin Goodwin will be his Waa-Maajaa ‘I wed.  Those helping lay Ken to rest are Carlotta Redwing, Cliff Coaker, Dave Bismarck, Dorian Bismarck, Jesse Beaulieu, and Randall Shaugobay.  Alternate pallbearers are Eric Cloud, Joe Cloud, Matt Wing and all of his cousins.  Interment will be immediately following the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Bena, MN.

Ken’s care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker MN.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.northernpeace.com
