Kileen Weise Obituary

Kileen Lucille Weise, age 65, peacefully journeyed to the spirit world on Monday, February 12th, 2024, from her home in Dilworth, MN. She was born on June 28th, 1958, in Waukegan, Illinois to parents Bernice (Firstshoot) and Clarence Bailey.

Kileen loved spending time with her parents and siblings, being the 4th out of 5 children. Kileen graduated from North Chicago Community high school in 1978. She dedicated half of her life to helping people in need, spending over 20 years as a domestic violence advocate, running support groups at the local women’s prison, then as a diabetic caseworker. She graduated from AIOIC in 2013 with a degree as a Human Services Technician. She had a large heart and it showed in both her work and home life. Kileen loved spending time visiting all her family and friends. She absolutely adored spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved babies like no other. Kileen was always ready to go spend hours at the casino playing slots or going out with friends and family for a game of bingo. When she couldn’t make it to the casino, she loved playing numerous games on her phone including slots, candy crush, and Mahjong. She was a traditional dancer and loved going to powwows even after she stopped dancing. She loved putting together puzzles, beading, and watching her favorite shows and movies over and over. Nothing could keep her from enjoying a bottle of Mt. Dew and a pack of Marlboro Red 100’s. Kileen was a caretaker and a mom through and through, she loved all her kids whether they were blood or not. Many nieces, nephews, and special friends all thought of her as their second mother. She was always there to talk some sense into you or just have a good argument when she felt like it. She had no problem throwing something at you when she felt like you weren’t listening, or teasing you any way she could, however, you couldn’t help but laugh. She raised 9 children with her then-partner Amos Weise, spending more than 20 years together. She continued to raise children as she got older, adopting her 4 grandsons. Everyone who knew Kileen as a sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend would continue to love her the same no matter what challenges life brought her.

Those greeting Kileen in the spirit word are her parents, Bernice and Clarence Bailey; brothers, Mickey Bailey and Charles Bailey; daughter, ShaLonda Clark; son, Clarence Clark; grandchildren, Precious Weise, Kayla Butcher, and Michael Clark.
