Lawrence "Larry" Hart

Lawrence Hart, Sr., known as “Larry” or “Boy” by many, age 62, journeyed to the spirit world unexpectedly from his home on Friday, March 15th, 2024, in Cass Lake, MN. He was born on March 30th, 1961, in Cass Lake, the son of Dorothy (Evans) and Melvin Rogers.

Boy enjoyed going to the casino, playing pool, and listening to country music. He loved Alisha’s frybread, spending time with his kids and grandkids. Boy was always watching the News or Old Western’s. He liked hunting, ricing, bough picking, and riding around the backroads with his girls. Boy never missed his happy hour dates with his favorite gals, Shannon and Patsy. He was a cannabis connoisseur and loved beer. Boy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Boy is greeted in the spirit world by his parents, Dorothy and Melvin; son, Lawrence Hart, Jr.; sisters, Eunice, Inez, and Kathy Hart, Carol White, Melvina Rogers, Veronica Thomas; brothers, Freddy and Roddy Stone, Arlen Hart; Godson, Richard Budreau; granddaughters, Roselynne Stewart and Ce’Liina Hart; and 2 baby boy Hart grandsons.

Those Boy leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Hart; sons, Alex (Bonita), Casey, and Jason (Kayla)Hart; daughters, Jessica (Dylan) Morlan, Lorreena and Alisha Hart; daughter-in-law, Amanda Lussier; sister, Marcy Hart; 19 grandchildren, Alijah, Lawrence III, Payton, Amarianna, Amadeo, Cedric, Tony, special granddaughter/aka “his baby” Marcena, Da’Shawn, Aiyanna, Chayton, Nindaanis, Rilah, Cii’Reena, Kelsi, Amariah, Cory, Kyrie, and Julian.

A two-night combined wake for brother and sister, Boy and Inez will begin on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., all to be held at the White Earth Family Center/“Old Legion”  in Cass Lake. Pastor Mark Pesky will officiate. Boy’s Spiritual Advisor is Melvin Goodman. Special music by the Hare Boys Drum Group. Those helping to lay Boy to rest are Joey “Bam” Johnson, Willy Whelan, Kenny James Hare, Aaron Hare, Derek Harper, Sr, and Jason “Baby” Hart. Alternate pallbearer Theodore “Gramps” Morrison. Honorary pallbearers are the Hare Boys and all of Boy’s grandsons. Interment will be in Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN.
