Leo Robert Blair, age 90, of Cass Lake, MN. began his spiritual journey on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at his home in Cass Lake with his loving family by his side. Leo was born on November 21, 1935, in White Earth, Minnesota.
Leo was a very liked and respected man who liked to joke around play pranks on everyone, especially his family. He had the biggest heart and took pride in taking care of everyone he knew, always looking out for family and friends. Leo was also active in his community, serving on the Cass Lake School Board and the LIEC. He enjoyed watching the Cass Lake-Bena sports, going to the casino and his Minnesota Vikings. He will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.
The family that Leo joins again are his mother, Cecelia Snyder; brothers, Alan “Bos” Boswell, Sr. and John Boswell; mother of his children, Delores Jones; sisters, Sharon Villier and Janice Bensoni; granddaughter, Carla Gale; numerous stepchildren and special friends Donna Budreau and Jim Oxford, Sr.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his son, Leo “Barney” Jones; daughters, Carol (Herschel) Muller, Julie (Terry Morris) Jones, and Yolanda Oxford all of Cass Lake; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and special grand daughter who led his care, Mardee Jones.
A wake for Leo will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, and will continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27th, all held at the White Earth Family Center in Cass Lake. Pallbearers will be David “D.J.” Paquette, Leo Jones, Jr., Christopher Muller, Avery Fisher-Jones, Eugene “Umsy” Tibbets, David Villier, Jr., Kevin Muller, and Terry Jones.
