Lief "Randy" Randolph Saunders

Lief “Randy” Randolph Saunders of Red Lake, MN, age 61, started his journey to the spirit world on December 20, 2023.  Leif was born on March 1, 1962, the son of Madeline (Saunders) and Alex Robertson in Norway House Cree Nation Manitoba Canada.  He grew up and attended school in Winnipeg Manitoba, before moving to Red Lake, MN. Where he made his home.

Lief loved to spend time with his honey Tweety, family and friends.  Lief loved to golf every chance he got.  He also enjoyed going to the Casino and was known to enjoy a 12 pack and fireball from time to time.

Lief will be remembered for his quick wit and humor.  He was a very kind, loving and generous man.  He would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar to help you.  Lief enjoyed working at the shelter and helping the people that stayed there.

 Those greeting Lief in the spirit world are his parents, Alex Robertson, and Madeline Saunders; foster parents, Ernie, and Mary Demarias; Special mom Juanita Lussier.

Family Lief leaves behind are his significant other Sheralyn (Tweety) Neadeau; sons, Julian (Reyna) Lussier, Daniel (Brianna) Saunders, Lief (Kali) Lussier, and Timothy Lussier; daughter, Tomi (Rob) Roy; brothers, Steven Robertson, Jonnie Robertson, Ronnie Robertson, and Andrew Williams; sister, Amelia Robertson; grandchildren, Riley, Robin, Reya, Randyn, Darian, Kaylynn, Izaylia, Aaliyah, Cordae, Tyson, Banks, Khloe, Lief Jr., special grandchildren;  Michael Malia, Mayven, Destiny and Michael Jr.

A one-night wake for Lief will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday December 23rd, 2023, and continue until his Sunday, December 24th, at  1:00 p.m..,  a traditional service all to be held at the New Red Lake Center in Red Lake, MN.  Lief’s family Spiritual advisor will be Lee Lussier.  Those helping to lay Lief to rest are Daryl Bohn, Dane Clark, Ian Lussier, Rob Roy, Robin Roy, Darian Beaulieu-Lussier, Timothy Lussier, Lief Lussier, Mike Jourdain.  Honorary pallbearers are all of Lief’s grandchildren, Clarence Neadeau Sr., and Ron McKenzie, and Brian Holthusen Sr.
