Linda Joy (Hillberg) Anderson

Linda Joy Anderson, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024, from CHI St. Joseph’s Health Hospital, in Park Rapids, MN. She was born on April 1, 1945, in Walker, MN, the daughter of Lorraine and Earl “Perk” Hillberg.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. She loved classical music, going to plays or musicals, doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies and the “Seinfeld Show” on television. She was an avid reader and often started and finished a novel in a few days. Linda grew up and came back to retire in the Akeley and Walker Area, she raised her family in the Cities. Linda loved dogs, especially Mr. Darcy.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Earl; and her husband, Walter “Bucky” Anderson.

Those Linda leaves behind to forever cherish her memory are her son, Cale (Missy) Anderson; daughters, Kerry (Tommy) Zimmer and Laurel Anderson; brother, Kevin Hillberg; granddaughters, Sarah, Natalie, and Mallory; 5 nieces; and 2 nephews.

Linda’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Heritage Cottages Memory Care in Park Rapids for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided.

A graveside service for Linda and Walter is planned for Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., Evergreen Cemetery in Walker, MN.
