Linda Ann Cloud

Linda Ann Cloud, “Mindimooyenh” which means “Old Woman”, age 71, of Columbia Height, MN, began her spiritual journey on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Abbott-Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis.  Linda was born on January 26, 1954, in Cass Lake, the daughter of Pete Cloud, Jr and Susan (Jackson) Cloud.

She grew up in Cass Lake until she was done with school, then she moved to Minneapolis.  Linda was an at home mom until she took a position on the board for Indian Health Services where she worked for over 16 years.  She was the type of person who loved and cared for everyone she came in contact with.  A numerous amount of people from not only her family, but from her entire community loved and respected Linda.  She also took in and helped raise many of her family members from nieces to nephews to others that surrounded her.  Linda welcomed everyone into her home that were in need. 

Linda was a very humorous lady who loved going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family that Linda joins again are her parents, Pete and Susan Cloud, her life partner, Ronald R. “Butch” Johnson, sisters, Wanda Cloud (Jackson), and Bonita Cloud, brothers, Douglas James Cloud and Darwin Cloud.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronald Ralph Cloud, Sr. and Randall Joseph Cloud, daughters, Karen Ann (Carlos) Cloud-Huerta, sisters, Diane Joy Cloud, Janice Cloud, Darlene Cloud and special sisters, Julie R. Johnson and Gina Erwin, two grandsons she raised, Antonio “Tonz” and Maurice “Moe”, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A wake for Linda will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2025 and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. Traditional service on Friday, August 15, all held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake.  Spiritual advisor will be Allan Hardy.  Active pallbearers for Linda will be Darwin Cloud, Isaac Huerta, David Rosebear, Jr., Barry Oakgrove, Jr., Mikey Cloud, and Robert Jackson. Alternate pallbearers will be Barry Oakgrove, Sr., Donte Stevenson, Alden Fairbanks, Jr. and Gblay Sailee. Honorary pallbearers will be Erma Beaulieu and all her special friends and community. Interment will be held in the Cloud Family Burial grounds at Oak Point following the service.
