Loyd "JR" Nolan Fowler, Jr.

Loyd “JR” Nolan Fowler, Jr., of Cass Lake, MN, began his journey to the spirit world from his home, on May 14, 2024.  JR was born to Anna Wind and Loyd Fowler, Sr. on September 2, 1968, in San Jose, California.  JR moved to Alabama when he was an infant and attended Moody High School. When he turned 18, he moved to Cass Lake, MN. He began working at the Palace Casino where he met his wife and mother of his children, Cindy Bedeau. After leaving the casino, JR met and went to work for Bob Wittner and continued to work for the Wittner family until JR passed away. He worked for Wittner’s for 35 years.

When JR wasn’t working for Bob, he enjoyed working on cars, landscaping, playing keno at the casino and shooting pool, darts and playing softball. He loved his Alabama football “Roll Tide” too, as well as a good western movie. JR also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Family welcoming JR to the spirit world are his parents, Loyd Fowler Sr, and Anna Wind; Robert Erle, Brian Dudley, Francis “Cowboy” Wind, Dodie, Marion Wind, Glenda Bryan, Charles Guinn, Orville Luvkins, Robert Wittner, Owen Beaulieu, John Bedeau, and Christopher Dudley.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are Cindy Bedeau, the mother of his children, Sons; Joe (Bethany) Fowler, Brent (Serayah) Fowler and Marcus (Justine) Fowler, daughter; Samantha Fowler, brothers; Albert Yeatts, Nolan Fowler, sisters; Elizabeth Fowler, Sheila Pfifer, and Barbara Elder, grandchildren; Adrik, Jalen, and Marcalyn Fowler.

An overnight wake for Loyd will begin at 6:00 p.m., on Monday May 20, 2024, and continue until his 11:00 a.m. traditional service Tuesday, May 21, 2024, all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN.  JR’s Spiritual Advisors are Vince Morris and George Wind.  His pallbearers are Joe Fowler, Brent Fowler, Marcus Fowler, Dave Wittner, Dale Fairbanks, and Robert Newago.  Alternate pallbearers are Dylan Strong, Mike Newago, Rick Newago and Dante Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Glennis Dudley, Christy Dudley, Dawn Dudley, Lenora Bedeau, Laurie Bedeau Aunt Mae, and Jean Beaulieu, Jean Beaulieu, John Wind, Jennie Reyes, and Jody Wind, and all his family and friends. Inurnment will be at a later date.
