Mark David Murray

Mark David Murray, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28th, 2021 in Menahga, Minnesota. Mark was born October 5th, 1957 in Saint Paul, MN the son of Virginia and Francis Murray.

Mark graduated high school from South Saint Paul and then went on to earn degrees in Wildlife Management and Journalism from Iowa State University. Mark worked at 3M where he met the woman who would become the love of his life, Donna Biessener. Donna and Mark were married May 14th, 1988 in Salem, Massachusetts.

Mark enjoyed walking in nature and visiting all the different State Parks. He loved his dog and watching him run in nature. He also enjoyed building model railroad tracks. Mark was known as an “advocate for social justice” by one his friends. He was passionate about politics; he was for the people (not the big people). He took care of all the computers for the home health care nurses at Dakota County, and those nurses just loved Mark.

Family Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna of Akeley, MN; sons, Isaac Murray of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Michael Murray of Akeley, MN; brother, Lynn (Sheri) Murray of New Port, MN; sisters, Gail (Richard) Okeson of Saint Paul, MN and Mary (William) Kirchoff of Eagan, MN.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Francis Murray.

Mark's Family would truly like to thank the staff of the TCU at Greenwood Connections in Menahga Minnesota, They took such good care of Mark, and we truly appreciate them.

Mark’s care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN.

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 4:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. at Kaposia Park Indoor Pavilion  1028 Wilde Ave. South Saint Paul, Minnesota.
