Mark Brian Smith

Mark Brian Smith, age 50, journeyed to the spirit world on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from his home in Big Falls, MN. He was born the second twin on January 29th, 1974, in International Falls, MN, the son of Frances (Rushman) and Roger Smith.

Mark was a hard worker and enjoyed working in the woods. He loved hanging out with friends, visiting, listening to music, and driving backroads. He also enjoyed deer hunting, watching westerns on ION TV, and borrowing movies and CDs from the library. He especially loved spending the Holidays with family.

Those greeting Mark in the spirit world are his om, Frances Rushman-Smith; sister, Sherry Ostlund; brothers, Roger Ravensborg, Sr., Virgil Ravensborg, Thomas Ravensborg, Michael Ostlund, Sr.; nieces, Savannah Ravensborg and Shalyssa Ostlund; and nephew, Baylee Ravensborg.

Those Mark leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his dad, Roger Smith; twin brother, Gorden Smith; nieces, Shayna Clark, Daisha Ravensborg, Darilyn Ravensborg, Shanise Livingston, Christina Fisher, Natasha Smith, Neshia Roth, Cynthia Smith, Cherai Clark, and Delaney Ostlund; nephews, Shane Clark, Roger Ravensborg, Jr., Michael Ravensborg, Ryan Ravensborg, Zachary Smith, Kenneth Smith, and Michael Ostlund, Jr.

A two-night wake for Mark will begin meeting at the line on 15, Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. and continue until his traditional service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 16th, 2024, all to be held at the Redby Community Center in Redby, MN. Mark’s Spiritual Advisor is Ty Stately. Those helping to lay Mark to rest are Gorden Smith, Michael Ostlund, Jr., Roger Ravensborg, Jr., Randy Bohn, Kenneth Smith, and Tyler Roth. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Rushman, Ryan Porter, Daisha Ravensborg, Cherai Clark, Darilyn Ravensborg, Shanise Livingston, Delaney Ostlund, Renae Clark, and Zachary Smith.
