Maxine Marie Ellis

 Maxine Marie Ellis, age 89, began her spirit journey on Saturday January 25, 2025, from the Mahnomen Health Center in Mahnomen, MN.  Maxine was born on March 8, 1934, to Jenny (McDonald) and Peter Ellis.
Maxine was born and raised on the White Earth Reservation. She loved to cook, play cards, and solve puzzles.  She loved to play bingo and go to thrift stores.  Maxine was a meticulous housekeeper.  She met the love of her life in her mid-20’s Elmer, they were together close to 50 years, until his passing.
Maxine is proceeded in death by her parents; Peter and Jenny (McDonald) Ellis, her brothers; Leonard, peter, Joseph, and Delmer, sisters; Eleanor, Yvonne, and Marlene her twin sister.
She is survived by her son; Peter D. (Kati) Ellis, 3 granddaughters; Bin-nay-Weso (Slavatore), of Green Bay Wisconsin, B J Kirkland of Milwaukee Wisconsin, and Theresa Ellis of Skidmore Texas, 10 great gradchildren; Miguel, David, Adrian, Shaun, Joseph, Javon, Lucy, Karina, Davina and Carmen.
 A Private family service will be held at a later date.
