Merelle Joan White

Merelle Joan White, “Merelli”, “Nizho Nagweyaabin” meaning 2nd Rainbow, age 20, of the Bear Clan, of Red Lake, MN began her spiritual journey on April 29, 2025.

Merelle loved basketball, beauty (nails, hair, make-up). She loved to listen to music, dance, and make tik tok videos.  Don’t ever leave your phone unattended, she will fill it with selfies.  She loved her sisters, something fierce. Also, her mom and dad.  She always made sure everyone knew that she loved you!

The family that Merelle joins again are her mother Angela May, grandmothers; Gail May, Audrey White and Ardelle Joanie Blue, great grandmother; Sally May, grandfathers; Victor White, Sam White and Arnold May.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her father; Samuel White, Sr., special parents; Susan Arellano and Lester Royal, and Lil One, siblings; Maleice White, Samantha White, Sakahtay White, Ameryce White, Aaliyah May, Abigail May, Delayna Smith, Darrisa Smith, Samuel White, Jr., Thomas May, Bryson White, Patrick Defoe, Dade White, Joey Smith, and Sincere White, uncles; Orville White, Sr., Steve Bellanger, Albert “Chuck” White, Sr., Jr. Bellanger, Robert May, and Arnie May, aunties; Victoria “Tony” White, Danielle May, Shanoah May, Rhonda May, Earline May, Diane Bellanger, Judy Bellenger, Anita Bellanger, Charlys Blue-May, and Marie Bellanger, special nieces; Ciara White, Zella Defoe, Cyanna White, Davian Defoe, and Kyomi Defoe, nephew, Zylus May, special friends; Christine Roybal, Tatum May, Kiersten Iceman, Arial May, Jadacyn Stately, Amanda Defoe, and Shianna Smallwood.

A two-day wake for Merelle will begin Tuesday May 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until her traditional service on Thursday May 8, 2025, all to be held at the new Red Lake Center, Red Lake, MN.  Those helping to lay Merelle to rest are Jordan, Bam Bam, Andrew, Samuel White Jr., Thomas May, Corey May, Brian Bellanger Jr, Cole Cobenais, Santee Howard, and Lil One.  Honorary pallbearers are all those that knew and loved her.
