Mic BigBear, age 61, started his spiritual journey from his home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021. He was born to Evelyn (TeJohn) King and George BigBear on October 23rd, 1959 in White Earth, Minnesota.
Mic completed his G.E.D. and worked as a laborer. He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. He loved hanging out with his nephew Douglas.
Mic was preceded in death by his father, George BigBear; grandparents, Alice and Elmer TeJohn; aunt Lorraine (TeJohn) Martin; and an uncle, Ernest (Leo) “Moose” TeJohn.
Mic is survived by his mother, Evelyn (Jim) King of Red Lake; a brother, James (Billie) King, Jr. of Red Lake; a sister, Gretchen TeJohn of Red Lake; an aunt, Marjorie McCree of Cass Lake; nieces, Bambi (Ty) King, Ann DeFoe, LaRose Marie King, Jamie Lee King; nephews, Jarvis King, Douglas DeFoe, and Marquis King.
An overnight wake for Mic will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21st and continue until his 12:00 p.m. service on Thursday, April 22nd all to be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Pallbearers will be Douglas DeFoe, Robin Kelly, Donald “Ducker” Kelly, Sandy Gillespie, Dan Kelly, and Jim King. His honorary pallbearers are all his family and friends. Interment will be in the Leech Lake Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN.
