Michael Duane Brown III

Michael Duane Brown III, 53 years old, of Cass Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, January 1, 2021 from his home.  He was born in Hawthorne, CA on October 23rd, 1967 to Georgianna King and Michael Brown, Jr.

Before anything else in Michael’s life, his family came first.  He was a family man who spent as much time with his family and friends as he could.  Michael was an inspiration to many and was always offering his help to others.  He loved and was always listening to music, he especially liked classic rock bands from 80’s and Johnny Cash.  When Michael got bored, he would head out to the woods or to the lake.  He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, netting, gathering and bough picking.  Michael also like tinkering with and working on cars in his spare time.

Family that welcomes Michael to the spirit world are his son, Aaron Michael Brown; mother, Georgianna King; sister, Michelle Brown; grandma, Ruth Johnson and several other family members.

He leaves behind his children, Michael Brown IV of Cass Lake, Allen Brown of Bagley, Matthew (Roberta) Brown of Cass Lake and Alicia Dahl of Minneapolis; father, Michael (Josie) Brown, Jr. of Inger; brothers, Darrick Brown of Cass Lake and Scott Brown of Deer River; sisters, Lois (Ken) Keezer of Winnie Dam, Lisa (Rob) Hemachandra of Prescott and Tamera (Carlos) Guerra of Grand Rapids, aunt, Nancy Dudley; significant other, Chantel Plante, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends.

Wake services for Michael will begin at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6th and continue until his 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Friday, January 8th all taking place at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN.  Pastor Leonard Fineday will officiate.  Pallbearers for Michael will be Vern Howard, Marvin Littlewolf, Scott Brown, Darrick Brown, Skip Lyons and Otto Reyes.  Alternate pallbearers are Dennis Littlewolf, Ronnie Roy and Jerome Roy.  His honorary pallbearers are all his children and grandkids.  Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following his Friday service.
