Patricia Marie Potter “Giizhigoo Binesiik” meaning “Thunderbird in the Sky” of the Marten Clan began her spirit journey on Tuesday December 24, 2024, from Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Patricia was born on January 6, 1949, to Jeanette (Skinaway) and Simon Day in Cloquet, MN.
Patricia LOVED to be involved in her culture and cultural activities. She deeply enjoyed cooking for people and feeding them. Patricia enjoyed getting her nails and hair done, self-care was important to her. Patricia was also known to enjoy her shopping as well!
Patricia enjoyed going out to eat and to the movies. But what she most loved and treasured was family and time spent with them.
Those greeting Patricia in the Spirit World are her parents; Simon, and Jeanette, husband; Joseph Potter, children; Jeffery Potter, and Tanya Day, grandchildren; Charles Connors, Wayne Potter, Marissa Kelly, and Abbie Jo Howard, great granddaughter; Shaleen Potter, sisters; Brenda Beaulieu, and Audrey Stately.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are sons; Joel and Jeremy Potter, daughters; JoMarie, Shelly and Kelly Potter, and Jamie Day, brothers; Simon Day, Robert Oswaldson, Jeffery Beaulieu, and Gerry Beaulieu, sisters; Lorna Day, Janice Standingcloud, June Day, Leana DeJesus, Lana Oswaldson, Stephanie Day, Dawn Day, and Cindy Beaulieu, 126 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and many others that she adopted and called grandchildren.
A two-night wake for Patricia will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, December 27, 2024, and continue until her 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, December 29, 2024, all to be held at the White Earth Community Center, White Earth, MN. Her Spiritual Advisor will be Michael Dahl. Those helping to lay Patricia to rest are the men of the Potter family. Honorary pallbearers are all of the people that knew and loved her. Interment will be immediately following her service at the Potter family Cemetery.
