Paula Rae Jackson, Noodinnookwe – Wind Woman, age 54, of Deer River, MN, began her spiritual journey on Friday, June 14, 2024, at her home in Deer River. She was born on August 17, 1969, in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Darlene (Homesky) and Glenn Jackson, Sr.
Paula liked to go rummaging and thrift store shopping. She enjoyed attending powwows with Mille Lacs being her favorite. Paula also liked going to the casino. She loved light houses, relaxing and watching her favorite t.v. shows. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
The family that Paula joins again are her mother; Darlene Jackson, father; Glenn Jackson, Sr., brother; Glenn Jackson, Jr., cousins; Melvin Ogema and Susan Hart, numerous aunts and uncles.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her sons; Quannah Jackson and Matthew (Morgan Bryan) Carley both of Hayward, WI., two grandchildren; CayLeigh Fineday and Brayden Losh.
A wake for Paula will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, and will continue until the 10:00 a.m. service Thursday, June 20, 2024 all held at the Inger Community Center in Inger, MN. Pallbearers helping to lay Paula to rest are Sheldon Rushman, Andrew Jackson, Joe Jourdain, Johnny Brown, Ray Brown and Cameron Seelye. Alternate pallbearers will be Doug Bryan, Jr., Frank Sam, and Jared Rabbit. Spiritual Advisor will be Mike Needham. Interment will be in the Inger Cemetery following the services.
