Pete James Cloud

Pete James Cloud, age 51, “Zhaawanoowinini” which means “the man from the east” of the martin clan, of Cass Lake began his spiritual journey on Thursday January 30, 2025.  He was born April 7, 1973, in Cass Lake MN., to Monica Johnston and Allen Cloud.
Pete was a man like no other, with the skills he had, he could figure anything out, and make it work.  He always tried to help everyone out, even if he didn’t know you, he would lend a helping hand. He was a backyard jack of all trades, along with being a skilled chef.
Pete truly loved his children, grandchildren, and all his family.  He enjoyed all the time he could spend with his family. He will surely be missed by EVERYONE!!
Family greeting Pete in the Spirit World are his parents; Monica, and Allen, daughter; Rhonda, sisters; Penny, Traci, and brother; Justin.
Those he leaves behind cherish his memories are his son’s; Aaron, Brian, Mish, Winter and Dion, daughters; Donnelle, Serayah, and Miikawaadiz, brothers; Charlie and Jonny, sisters; Ann, Amy Crystal, Cierra, Catrina, and Denise, and 9 grandchildren.
The wake for Pete will begin at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, and continue until 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Thursday February 6, 2025, all to be held at the Prescott Center in Cass Lake, MN.  Allen Hardy will be his Spiritual Advisor.  Those helping Pete to rest are Chauncey Oothoudt, Jamie Oothoudt, Lenny Ruschmeier, Randy Cloud Mark Cloud, and Maurice Rodriguez. Alternate pallbearers are David Staples Jr., Michael Cloud, and Brad Cloud. Honorary pallbearers are all of those who knew and loved him. Internment will immediately follow the service at the Cloud family Cemetery in Oak Point.
Pete’s care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker MN.,
