Peter George Eckman

Peter George Eckman, age 73, of rural Walker, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday morning, September 17, 2023. A private family interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Walker, MN. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN.

Peter “Pete” George Eckman, was born on June 30, 1950 at Walker, MN and later moved with his family to Minneapolis where he attended school.

He was united in marriage on September 27, 1969 to Vicki Kaye LaClaire in Minneapolis where they made their home before moving to East Grand Forks. Pete owned and operated M & G Dental Lab until they retired and moved to the Walker area.

Pete adored his dogs. He especially loved to fish in area lakes and target shoot at the local gun range. Pete was an avid gardener and even kept bees at one point. He loved wildlife and driving his old Toyota truck.

Peter George Eckman is survived by his wife Vicki, His sons, Shane and wife Angie, Jeremy and wife Mandi, Grandson Bryce, his brothers, Doug and wife  Carolyn, Jim and wife Rita, Mike and wife Shari, Russ and wife Mary, his sisters Deb and husband Stan, Kim and husband Greg, Jennifer and husband Todd, nieces, nephews, and his “baby girl” dog Lola.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
