Randall Jay McClimek

Randall Jay McClimek, 72, passed away at his home on the morning of July 10, 2023, in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.

He was born on July 29, 1950, in Cass Lake, MN, to Dorothy (Stangel) and Albert McClimek.  Randy lived a full life bringing love, joy, and laughter to everyone he met.  The self-proclaimed “Randallas Jay Dena from Bena” was known to be the most thoughtful and caring dad, husband, grandpa, and friend who never failed to remind you he’d always love you more.  Randy will be deeply missed by all, and his life will be celebrated each and every day just as he wished.

Randy is survived by his wife, Mari; daughters, Carrie (Loren), Julie (Jeff), and Jamie (George); grandchildren, Zachary, Lucas, Talon, Britni, Ethan, Lauren, Ava, Eli, Jake, and Aria; and siblings, Gary Wayne, Roger (Mel), and Roxie (Kevin).

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy, and brothers Scott and Dale.

We will celebrate by visitation on Friday, July 14, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the All Nations Indian Church, 1515 E. 23rd St., Minneapolis, MN.  His celebration will be continued on July 15 at 5:00 p.m. at the Dave Morgan Community Center in Bena, MN.  His Spiritual Advisor will be Allen Hardy.  Helping to lay Randy to rest are Patrick McClimek, Roger McClimek, Ricky Hinrichs, Tony Stangle, Zachary Porter, Ethan Hansen, Eli Hansen, and Jake Cease.  His honorary pallbearers are Lucas Porter, Talon Porter, Britni Hansen, Lauren Hansen, Ava Hansen, and Aria Cease.  Randy will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Bena next to his family following a service honoring his life which will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Sunday, July 16th at the Dave Morgan Community Center, Bena, MN.
