Rick Lane Canty

Rick Lane Canty was born on July 9th1949 at Cass Lake Hospital and passed away on January 23rd, 2025 at the Veterans Hospital in Mpls. He was surrounded by his daughter Hannah and grand daughter Isabella and other family members.

He was the eldest of eight children. He is survived by his sisters, LuAnn, Carla, Paula and his brother Dean.

Rick attended Bena Elementary and then attended Cass Lake High school.

One of  his  accomplishments was serving his country in the Vietnam War. He served for 3 years and was a proud veteran.

Rick lived in Bemidji and married Sandy Hensen and shared 2 children. Ricardo Canty and Tonya (Prim) and 6 grandchildren.

Later Rick relocated and remained in Mpls. for many years with his life partner Brenda Bahr. They raised 2 daughters. Brianna and Hannah and 2 grand daughters Isabella and Aria.

He was preceded in death by Brenda Bahr, his parents Oliver and Joan, brothers Dana and Robin and his sister Brenda.
