Robin Madden Obituary

Robin Lee Madden, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, at her home in Remer, MN. She was born on March 31, 1966, in Deer River, MN, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Lois Shaw.

Robin grew up and attended school in Remer, graduating in 1984. She attended college in Brainerd and Grand Rapids, MN. She worked as a nursing assistant in Crosby, MN where she met her future husband, Mark Madden from St. Paul, MN. Robin and Mark were married in April of 1993. They lived in Lindstrom, MN for a few years until moving back to Remer. Mark became the maintenance Supervisor for the city of Remer. Robin worked at many places in Remer, The Woodsman, The Quonset Hut, CD’s Café, The Grocery Store, and The Remer Junction, where she was still working until her death. Robin was very passionate about her pets. She had 2 cats, Rex and Oscar; a dog, Pooh; when she passed. She was a loyal and wonderful friend. If you were her friend, you were her friend for life. A very huge part of her life for the last 14 years was her great-nephew, Konnor Pound, who lived with her and Mark for a long while. He was the most important person to Robin.

Robin is survived by her mom, Lois Shaw of Remer; sisters, Phyllis Ammerman and Denise Shaw, both of Remer; nieces, Tichelle Pound, Kimmi Parent, Linsey Ammerman, and Emmilu Hastie; nephews, Josh Pound, and Nathan Frank; 10 great-nieces and nephews; very “special” friends/family, Jen, Tom, Kiristen, Dave, Paula, Robbie, Richard, Jeff, Chuck, and Angie.

Robin is preceded in death by the love of her life, Mark; dad, Bob Shaw; grandparents, Glenn and Bernetta Shaw, William and Winnifred Truempler; brother-in-law, Jerry Ammerman; and nephew, Matthew Ammerman.

A private graveside interment for Robin will be Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Remer, MN. Bruce Pound will officiate. Pallbearers are Richard Lucas, Josh Pound, Robbie Ammerman, Nathan Frank, Nick Parent, Karl Swanson, Tom Procopio, and Dave Steien.
