Rodney Dale White of the Awaa-Saa- See clan passed away on December 27, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN. Rodney was born June 25, 1956, to Howard and Clarice (Day) White at Pike Bay Township.
Rodney played football and basketball at Patrick Henry High School, he also enjoyed playing softball and bowling. He attended North Hennepin Community College, Metro State, BSU and the Leech Lake Tribal College. Rod worked at Mystic Lake and Northern Lights casinos. He worked at WHA Public Schools as a Community Liaison. Rodney was a huge fan of learning, always taking classes to expand his knowledge.
Rod loved sports, especially watching his kids play. He enjoyed getting together with his family, and his yearly get together with his school buddies. He recently bought a boat and loved to take his kids tubbing and riding around the lake.
Rod LOVED taking care of his yard and making sure all his kids had a hand in that. He was a HUGE advocate of taking in stray animals.
Those greeting Rodney in the Spirit world are his parents Howard and Clarice (Day) White, brothers, Ralph, and Howard White, and niece Elizabeth White.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife Glenda Dailey, sons; Devontae, Robert, Marcus, Jarryd White, and Nicholas (Amber) Dailey, daughter’s; Angelique, Ziinaa and Lynnea White and Carrie Dailey , brother Russel White, sisters; Mary (Phil) Flocken White and Barbara White, grandchildren; Nicole Perrington, Tate Dailey, Deacon Dailey, Caitlin Dailey and Daniel Dailey, great grandchildren, Isaak, Landon , and Logan Perrington. And numerous nieces and nephews
A celebration of life for Rodney will be held January 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum MN. Rod Northbird will officiate Rodneys service. Everyone who knew and loved Rodney will be his urn bearers. Rod will be going home with Glenda.
