Roger "RJ" Thomas Milton Johnson, Jr.

Baby Roger “RJ” Thomas Milton Johnson, Jr., 22 days young of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe from Awaazisii Indoodem (Bull Head Clan) from Bemidji, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on Monday, July 12th, 2021. He was born on June 21st, 2021, the son of Misty Fairbanks and Roger Johnson, Sr. in Bemidji, MN.

Baby RJ enjoyed eating, sleeping, and loved being next to his mother, father and siblings. He was sent to us as a messenger to show us love. His short time we got to have him here was a blessing. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.

RJ is survived by his loving parents, Misty Fairbanks and Roger Johnson, Sr. of Bemidji, MN; siblings, AaMari Folstrom, Paul Folstrom, Grayson Cronin and Arryah Johnson all of Bemidji, MN; aunties, Erica Graves, Alexis Graves, Camryn Graves, Marissa LaRose, Mara Folstrom, Daizie (Charles) Johnson, Amarrod Johnson, LaSondra Allen, Loretta Budreau; uncles, Francis “Fran” Folstrom, Rodney (Sydney) Johnson, Ethan Burnette, Jerrod Johnson, Ron Hulett, Jr., Frank LaRose, Jr., Colin Eagle, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Hartley White, Jr. and Koko Folstrom; great-grandparents, Marlene Mitchell, Elsie Budreau, Kent and Deb Beaulieu; special cousins, MaRissa Folstrom, SeRayah Drouillard and Daniel Drouillard; and several other family members.

RJ is welcomed to the spirit world by his grandparents, Judith Fairbanks, Susie Allen and Rodney Johnson, Sr.; great-grandpas, Paul Folstrom and Thomas Mitchell Jr.; uncles, JoJo Beadeau III, Anthony Hare, Jr., Dallas Graciano; great-aunties, Deena and Brenda Budreau.

A traditional wake will start Saturday, July 17th, 2021, 6:00 p.m. at The Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Monday, July 19th, 2021, with Waa-maajaa’iwed being Steve Jackson. Pallbearers will be Daniel Drouillard, Francis “Fran” Folstrom, Rodney Johnson, Jr., Jerrod Johnson, Ron Hulett, Jr., and Colin Eagle, Sr. Honorary pallbearers are all his family and friends.
