Samuel "Sam" Kyle White

Samuel “Sam” Kyle White, "Manidoo Inini" meaning "Spirit Man," age 34, of the Bear Clan and Cass Lake, MN, started his spiritual journey on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from Duluth, MN. He was born on June 27, 1988, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Neva Mueller and Simon White, Jr.

Sam was always smiling. He was a loving, caring, and loyal young man. He loved hot sauce on everything, listening to music, especially music by “Lil’ Durk”, and was a smooth talker. Sam was always dressed with style. He enjoyed being outdoors, chilling by the lake, and hanging with family, especially loved time with his nieces and nephews. Sam was very photogenic. He loved his mother more than anything in this world, she was his rock. He liked playing chess, cards, basketball, and Xbox with family. He was a great artist and drew many wonderful pictures. Sam and his brothers were known as the “Three Amigos” as that’s what their mom always called them. Sam will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those Sam leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his dad, Simon, Jr.; son, Caise Ruhanen-White of Duluth, MN; brothers, Robert (Renee) Budreau, Jr., Anthony (Lena) White, Simon White III, Jacob Budreau, Sr.; special brothers, Michael “Squid” Siewert, Ira Goodwin; sisters, Brittany (James) Budreau, Leah (Clinton) Jacobs, Janelle Kingbird; and numerous other family members and friends.

Greeting Sam in the spirit world are his beloved mom, Neva Mueller; grandma, Beverly Thompson; grandpa, James Mueller; sisters, Deena Budreau, Nina Roberts; and too many other relatives to list.

An overnight wake for Sam will begin on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until his Thursday, February 23, 2023, 11:00 a.m. service all to be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Sam’s Spiritual Advisor will be Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Sam to rest will be Alden Fairbanks, Jr., Kyle Fairbanks, Sr., Jason Poitra, Gilbert Littlewolf, Romney Olson, Simon White III, James Baird, and Brian Stillday, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are all Sam’s family and friends. Interment will be in Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN.
