Shawn Joseph Smith, Sr.

Shawn Joesph Smith Sr., 52, of Minneapolis, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on July 27,2024, from his home.  He was born to John Hoffman and Brenda Smith on April 13, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Shawn grew up in Minneapolis, attended and graduated high school there. He loved to ride bike around the city, play basketball, work out, and take pictures of the city.  He also enjoyed family get togethers.

Those greeting Shawn in the spirit world are his mom, Brenda Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those Shawn leaves behind to cherish his memory are his son, Shawn Smith Jr.; daughters, Mishka Smith and Evelyn Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

An overnight wake for Shawn will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 17, 2024, and continue until his 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, August 18, 2024, all to be held at the Facility Center in Cass Lake, MN.  Allen Hardy will be Shawn’s Spiritual Advisor. Shawn’s urn bearer will be Jim Brown. Honorary urn bearers are Sheldon Brown, Jeff Brown, Dennis Brown, Joe Brown, and Charlie Brown, also all those who knew and loved him.
