Sylvia Ann Stewart, born in Florence, South Carolina, on January 15, 1940, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024.

Sylvia was the beloved mother of Kim Zimmer, Butch Loftman (Theresa), James, and Greg Stewart. She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to Anne, Justin, Nick, Rayne, Ginny, Brandon, Bryan, Charlee, Ezra, Hanna, Chase, Jaxon, Isaac, Mia, Ross, Camryn, and Laney.

Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, sister, brothers, daughter-in-law Ginger, son-in-law Steve, granddaughter Jesse, best friend Sandra, and her husband and partner of more than 55 years, Jim.

Sylvia proudly served in the United States Navy and dedicated her life to her family. In her 50’s, she embarked on a new journey, becoming a nurse to care for and support those in need. Sylvia was never far from a cup of coffee; she loved a good James Patterson Book, daisies, peanuts, popcorn, and ice cream sandwiches.

Sylvia’s family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the entire staff at St. Croix Hospice for caring so wonderfully for Sylvia. Thank you all!
