Tanis Lynne (Oksendahl) Beadle

Tanis Lynne Oksendahl Beadle passed away on Saturday March 21st, 2026. Her memorial service will be at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker, MN., on Saturday May 9th at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10 AM. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Tanis was born in Chicago, IL on June 26th, 1945, to Betty and Kermit Oksendahl. She spent her early childhood in Chicago and Madison, WI. before her family settled in the Milwaukee area. She graduated from Brookfield Central High School in 1963 and then attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN., graduating in 1967.

After graduation, she embarked on a 35-year career as an IT professional with the 3M company in St. Paul, MN. Tanis was an active member of the St. Paul Curling Club. It was there that she met and married Don Beadle in 1985. In 2002, she retired from 3M and they moved to their retirement home in Walker, MN. In Walker, Tanis was active volunteering at the local food shelf, Faith in Action, Meals on Wheels, and the Hope Lutheran Church choir and handbell choir. She also enjoyed golf in the women’s leagues at Tianna Golf Club.

Preceding Tanis in death was her husband, Don, parents Betty and Kerm, and her sisters Karen and Ruthie. She is survived by her nephew Jay (Laura) Kline, niece Julia Kline, stepsons Kent (Ann) and Kyle (Shannon) Beadle, stepdaughter Kimberly (Mike) Sammons, great-nieces Ally and Leah Kline, great-nephew Andrew Kline, granddaughters Kathy and Michele  Beadle, Sara (Micah) Beadle Jaeger, grandsons Andrew Beadle and Justin Thies, as well as many extended family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Paws and Claws, Friends of the Boundary Waters, and Hope Lutheran Church promise campaign.
